Distance education and Flexible learning
The most common form is a combination of the Internet and video conferences, but also e-mail and telephone are used. In some courses, there may even be one or more meetings at the university.
Certain courses are completely web-based and have no obligatory meetings at the university or any other place.
You can take these courses from your home, your work place or a study centre. You and your teacher communicate via e-mail, computer conferences, or so-called virtual classrooms. In order to take the course, you need access to a personal computer with an Internet connection.
Communication, such as e-mail, discussion forum and chat, is managed via Blackboard. Moreover, it gives the possibility of distributing course material, handing in assignments, creating web exams etc.
