Increasing number of courses taught in English
International educational exchanges and academic cooperation across national boundaries have long been a tradition at Gävle. An increasing number of courses taught in English at the university opens opportunities for foreign students to study here. The major part of this international collaboration takes place at the undergraduate and master degree levels. International mobility for Gävle students has mainly occurred within EU countries and with Australia. More than 90 international exchange partnerships
However, in the past few years, Gävle has established new academic contacts in countries such as Canada, China and South Africa, a development that adds to the university´s global network of educational exchange. Today the university has more than 90 international exchange partnerships, resulting in an ever increasing number of international student exchanges. Moreover, the on-going international exchange of Gävle faculty and administrators creates a stable foundation for the university´s international network of educational programmes and research projects.
Learn Swedish
The university´s international mobility opportunities are maintained through bilateral partnership agreements. Housing accommodations as well as student mentors are made available to all international students. A basic beginner´s Swedish language course is also offered.
