Student Health Care

Welcome to Student Health Care

A healthy life-style and general well-being are important factors for successful studies. If you find that your daily balance or your studie abilities are disrupted by physical or mental stress, you can turn with confidence to the Student Health Care.

We are a complement to the Health Care Centers (in swedish: Hälsocentraler) who serve all citizens in the municipality. If you are in need of medical attention or pharmaceutical treatments you should turn to a Health Care Center (Hälsocentral) first. (see link below: "General Health Care Information")

If you are unsure of where to turn to when you need medical attention, you can talk to someone at Medical Advice/ Health Care Information (in swedish Sjukvårdsupplysning) all around the clock - dial 1177. If you are in need of medical emergency - dial 112.

Councelling with student welfare staff

The Student Health Care offers councelling with welfare staff. You can contact us if you need someone to talk to when things are getting troublesome and may start to affect your studies during your time as a student here at the University of Gävle.

We who work at the Student Health Care are:

two student welfare officers: Lotta Möller and Marie-Louise Holmberg
one nurse: Anita Larsson
one coordinator for students who needs special equipment according to their disability: Kerstin Åberg

We are committed to proffessional secrecy and all visits are free of charge.

We are located in house 51 Frigg level 5. In our facilities you can also find our studentpriest from the Swedish church.
