During the last 15 years the mobile phone has developed from using only one access method and frequency band to a complicated radiating device using up to 15 different frequency bands and perhaps some 5 to 10 different radio access methods. For the mobile phone producer this development constitutes a number of problem when verifying the antennas and the radio performance of the phone. The performance of the antennas is also of greatest interest to the network operators since the decline in terminal antenna performance is often compensated by a greater density of Base stations to a large cost for the operator.
Research Tasks:
Evaluation and development of methods for determination of terminal antenna performance in real environments
Improved power amplifier load matching
