Welcome to the Final Dissemination Workshops March 17 2016, Building 41, Valhall auditorium, University of Gävle, Sweden
University of Gävle is coordinating a European project under the AAL Call 4 programme (www.aal-europe.eu/) to develop lower body mobility exoskeletons for assisting elderly persons in normal daily activities. The activities include providing stability during standing, physical assistance during sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit transfers and supporting walking on flat ground. EXO-LEGS started on 1 October 2012 and ends on 31 March 2016 with a budget of €4.56M (www.exo-legs.org).
The project brings together end-users, companies, and research organisations at the EU level to realise the indoor and outdoor wearable assistive exoskeletons needed by elderly persons to enable them to continue living independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
Two workshops will be held to present the results of the project at the University of Gävle, in Gävle, Sweden on 17 March 2016. We would like to invite all persons who are interested in attending the two workshops to know more details about the project and the results achieved. A detailed program for each workshop is attached. You are welcome to register for both workshops if this is of interest.
