Environmental work at the faculty
The University of Gävle is environmentally certified!
The work at the beginning of the decade spent on environmental work in the university has borne fruit. Monday July 12, 2004 the University of Gävle received an environmental certification under ISO 14001. This certification was renewed in 2007 and 2010. Although the environmental work itself is the most important, the certification show that the work was comprehensive and of high quality. It is now up to everyone to continue in the same spirit so we maintain this quality and in some areas further improve it. Audits will of course be made annually to "read" how the environmental work continues. At the moment you find the University's overall environmental website on www.hig.se/miljo, but unfortunately only in swedish.
The faculty has an environmental coordinator
, who is the department's representative in the Environment Council.
The routine for new recruits
