The University Library develops support for publication at the
University. Below are a range of worthwhile innovations for those who
wish to publish and take advantage of our research.
ISBN numbers are issued by the library
If you are going to publish in one of the publication series that are given out by the university you can contact the library in order be issued an ISBN number. Send an email to Gävle University Press via gup@hig.se.
Research reports and Working papers
Do you have a manuscript in your desk drawer? In the publication series R&D reports (FOU-rapporter) you can publish a manuscript that has gone through a peer-review at e.g. a conference. If you have a manuscript in English it will be published in the series Research reports.
In the series known as Working papers texts are published as drafts for articles or as preliminary results from a research project. Contact gup@hig.se if you want to publish your report or paper in either of these series.
Researcher´s Corner – study the latest research publications from the university
In a corner of the university library you can study the latest research publications from researchers at Gävle University. Here you will also get the opportunity to meet other researchers to be able to read and discuss research in a pleasant environment – Researcher´s Corner. Read the latest theses, books and scientific articles – perhaps it might lead to new contacts within the university or ideas for joint research projects. All research publications from Gävle University are available on a special set of shelves ?finns det flera hyllor eller bara en? near the Researcher´s Corner.
In the Researcher´s Corner you will also find relevant literature about e.g. open access, publishing strategies and bibliometrics.

New series for theses from Gävle University
During 2015 the first doctoral students will be examined since the university got the right to grant postgraduate degrees. A new series for publishing these theses will be launched during the year.
Accessibility to older reports in DiVA (Digital Scientific Archive)
Currently an inventory is being made of the publication series that are issued by Gävle University Press.
During the spring older R&D reports and Working papers will be scanned with the aim of making them available digitally in DiVA.
Authors will be contacted to authorize publication of the digital versions in DiVA.
Information on external and internal websites
Information about publications and the library’s research support on external and internal websites will be updated and extended.
