Install Microsoft's Office software for free
As a student at the University of Gävle, you now have the ability to install Microsoft's Office software for free on up to five computers. Follow these steps:
- Go to http://portal.office.com
- Write username@hig.se as illustrated. Note that you must type @hig.se and not @student.hig.se
- Click in the password box to be redirected to the university's website
- Log in with your username and password
- Uncheck the boxes for Bing and MSN if you do not want to change the search engine or homepage for your computer.
- Click "Install Now" and select "Run." Follow the prompts until installation is complete.
You have the right to use the software as long as you have an active student account at the University of Gävle.
