Kulrada Kiatkulthorn, a student reading the Master programme in the Management of Logistics and Innovation at the University of Gävle has been nominated as Global Swede. At a ceremony on the 18th of May she was awarded a diploma and received a gift from Mikael Damberg, Swedish Minister for Enterprise and Innovation.
Kulrada Kiatkulthorn, who calls herself Tea, comes from Thailand, and aims to qualify in the Master programme in the Management of Logistics and Innovation. She has distinguished herself as an ambitious student with good results and is considered both positive and good-humoured by teachers and fellow students.
The criteria for becoming a Global Swede are that the international student distinguishes himself/herself within the field of innovation and entrepreneurship during the duration of study and that he/she is near the end of the course.
As “Global Swede” Kulrada Kiatkulthorn will be a representative for Sweden in her home country and function as an ambassador for Sweden and higher education.
“Tea has direct connections to Sweden, a positive attitude and personal incentive as well as excellent study results. To sum up it is difficult to think of anybody more qualified for the title “Global Swede,” says Erik Olsson, Internationalisation specialist
“This sort of ambassador means a great deal in helping to make Sweden and the University of Gävle known abroad,” says Erik Olsson, internationalisation specialist.
