A day about co-op studies mixed with work periods
“Last year, our co-op day was incredibly successful with over 100 participants from upper secondary schools, the business sector, municipal adult education, and our co-op programmes,” says Emma Wiklund, project member at the University of Gävle.
Co-op day 23 November 2017
We welcome students, entrepreneurs, organisations and a limited number of upper secondary pupils and adult education students to the University of Gävle.
During the day, there will be more information about the co-op education setup. You will be given the opportunity to listen to students who will present their work periods as well as some entrepreneurs who will introduce their company/ co-op employment ad.
“We want to highlight this highly-appreciated form of education as well as give students and entrepreneurs a chance to meet each other. We look forward to an equally successful day this year,” says Emma Wiklund.
-------------------------------------
Co-op, cooperative education, is a form of education where studies are mixed with work periods. The students study a three-year engineering programme in four years. During 40 weeks of the programme students work at a company. This programme is very much appreciated by both students and entrepreneurs, since the understanding of what you will actually do after the programme becomes clear.
