Discovering the opportunities of digitalisation

Businesses and organisations are invited to be inspired to solve problems with the help of digitalisation, to discover new business opportunities, to make cumbersome processes more effective and to attract new groups to the industrial sector.

Gävle Municipality, the EU project Tech Town, the University of Gävle and its project Sustainable Business Relations, Find-IT and the Gamification network all invite everyone to a digitalisation day on Monday April 16 2018.

Sustainable business relations

The Project “Sustainable Business Relations (HAR) for Innovative Regional Business Development” is a project run by researchers from the Department of Business and Economic Studies at the University of Gävle. The goal is to discuss and disseminate knowledge about current fields of development regarding digitalisation, internationalisation, sustainable accounting and sustainable collaboration.

According to Aihie Osarenkhoe, professor in marketing, business administration, and research director at the University of Gävle, this event about the preconditions for digitalisation and related critical factors is a unique example of strategic collaborations between academia, organisations, the business sector and public authorities on challenges facing society today.

Tech Town

Gävle participates together with eleven other middle-sized European cities in a European collaborative project called Tech Town.

The idea behind Tech Town is that every city should improve preconditions to make the most of the possibilities of digitalisation, develop the digital economy and increase the number of jobs within digitalisation.

Find-IT and the Gamification network

Find-IT helps small and middle-sized businesses in the Gävleborg region and Dalarna to strengthen their competitive edge and enhance their innovation capacities. Find-It runs a number of networks on matters like, for instance, Gamification, which involves the use game mechanisms within industry, trade, IT, transport and education etcetera.
