On April 19 and 20 April 2018, the University of Gävle celebrates its Academic Ceremony. We confer honorary doctorates, new doctoral degrees and inaugurate new professors as well as award prizes and bestow honours.

Thursday 19 April: Inaugural lectures, University of Gävle, Stora Jadwigasalen 13:111 at 8.40am – 2.40pm
On Thursday 19 April, our new professors hold inaugural lectures about their research for a non-specialist audience. An interesting day, open to the public.

Friday 20 April Academic Ceremony, University of Gävle, Valhall 41:204, 4pm – 6pm
Our Academic Ceremony 2018 is the seventh in the history of the University of Gävle. At the ceremony, we confer honorary doctorates, new doctoral degrees and inaugurate new professors as well as award prizes and bestow honours.
The ceremony will take place in Valhall and is open to the public.
Linnekvintetten will perform.
At the end of the ceremony, we will award prizes and bestow honours.
Representatives from the press are welcome to lectures as well as to the Academic Ceremony.
