Jason Pomeroy takes history into the future

2018-10-17

Welcome to an open lecture on October 18!
Young, world-famous architecture and professor Jason Pomeroy, Singapore, demonstrates how we can bring the historical knowledge of buildings with us into the future.

The Secretariat, Rangoon, was once a centre for the British colonial administration in Burma.

Jason Pomeroy

In 2012, Pomeroy established the design company Pomeroy Studio in Singapore and, since then, he has created sustainable designs for cities, buildings, landscapes and for interiors.

He has become a leading architecture in the field of sustainable design and lectures world-wide, most recently at the University of Cambridge.

“There is a lot of thinking embedded in old buildings. They were adapted to their respective climate and are often built in local materials that take into account social sustainability,” Jason Pomeroy says.

Very welcome to an inspiring and thought-provoking lecture!
