University of Gävle statement about situation in Iran

“We are deeply concerned about the current situation for students and university staff in Iran”, says Ylva Fältholm vice-chancellor at University of Gävle. “We agree with the statement made by the Association of Swedish Higher Education Institutions, SUHF.”

SUHF has made a statement regarding the situation in Iran and Ylva Fältholm is a member of SUHF´s board.

“We obviously protect freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate. The violence against the demonstrators at universities and other places is unacceptable”, Ylva Fältholm says.
