In this year's first issue of LEVE! you get to meet Nataliia Melnyk, who got a job at the University of Gävle after leaving her war torn homeland Ukraine.
– We had a good communication and I felt safe going to Gävle. I was helped with all the paperwork, finding an apartment to live in and a school for my son to attend. I'm so grateful and I have very supportive colleagues.
Soap bubble experiments
At the University of Gävle, researchers are investigating how the air moves in a room when people are sitting there. This is done by releasing soap bubbles in a glass room. The aim is to find ventilation methods that can reduce the spread of infection.
– The soap bubbles follow the movement of the air in the room and with their help we can see how the air moves. We will photograph the soap bubbles moving with the air and then digitally analyze the tracks that form on the images, says Elisabet Linden, research engineer.
