Questions about registration and admission |
The course International Business Strategy will be organized through CANVAS. Students will automatically be enrolled on the course in Canvas once they have registered for their course in Ladok. All information regarding the course will be available in CANVAS.
The course will be conducted through providing links to short videos on six topics of International Business strategy on Canvas for the students to watch. The introduction meeting and two discussion meetings and will be held physically. The two discussion meetings will be held to discuss issues on the six topics that students will watch videos on. One compulsory seminar will be held via zoom where student groups will present and discuss their case study. Students are requested to watch the short videos on the topics and attend the two discussion meetings. Students need to submit an individual home exam as well as one group assignment on international business strategies case study and one group assignment on literature review on international business topics as exams for this course. The students need to submit their individual home exam and the two group assignments on Canvas as per deadline mentioned in the course manual to receive grades. The course manual will be available on Canvas one week before the start of the course. The course manual will have all required information regarding the course.

Communication
The communication between students and teacher for this course will be held physically during introduction meeting, discussion meetings, and via zoom during seminar. Students will be also communicated through pre-scheduled zoom meetings as well as though e-mails, announcements on Canvas and discussion threads on Canvas. The course manual, course contents, timetables, and information will be uploaded on Canvas for the course and all-important announcements related to the course will be also on Canvas. Moreover, individual or group emails will be sent to the students’ email accounts regarding important matters related to course. The Introduction meeting will be held physically, and the date, time and location of the meeting will be notified to the student through canvas announcement one week before the course start.
The course is given by the Faculty of Education and Business Studies.
Registration for exams, including re-takes, is mandatory. You can register for exams via Ladok. You need to register at least ten days before the exam date. If you didn't register in time, you can not take your exam. No exceptions are made from this rule, we do not accept registrations when the deadline is passed.
If you are a distance study student and want to take your exam off-campus, you need to apply to do so at least three weeks prior to the exam date.
You need to apply for accommodation yourself. Please remember to do it in good time before your arrival. The University of Gävle does not provide any student accommodation.
As a student at the University of Gävle you have the opportunity to install Microsoft Office on up to five computers. The Office package includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Onenote.
The library is located in the middle of campus and is open to everybody. You can reach all digital resources such as e-books and e-journals after logging in with your user account.
At the Student Centre you will meet knowledgeable staff that can assist you in just about anything regarding your studies at the University of Gävle. The Student Centre is located in building 22. You will also find a café in this area and TV displays showing current information and the daily timetabling. Eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) gives you access to the Internet when you are staying on the University campus. It also provides internet access at other universities and colleges that are connected to eduroam. Eduroam also works at many airports, railway stations and hotels.
