Course organisation and communication

The course is aimed to study management in different international contexts. In the course, we examine and compare management practices across countries, institutional environments, and cultures. The course intends to help develop an awareness of the concepts of culture and institutions and their pervasive and hidden influence on behavior in organizations, particularly concerning management and management practices.

The course consists of individual and team assignments and uses a combination of pedagogical forms: lectures, articles, and case seminars with student-based activities. The forms of examination are article analysis, case analysis, home examination, and Final report including opposition work. Please check the course guide available on Canvas for detailed information.

For Spring semester 2022, we will offer a “hybrid teaching setup” for this course. This means you will be able to attend all lectures and seminars online via zoom as well as on campus. Please check the course web page on Canvas for more detailed information.

Note: the course format can change depending on the state of the pandemic and recommendations from the Swedish public health agency during the duration of the Spring semester.

The course is given by the Faculty of Education and Business.
