Course organisation and communication

This is a half-time course with a weight of 7.5 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) points. The course runs between week 03 (17 January) and week 12 (27 March), 2022.

For Spring semester 2022, we will offer a combination of on-campus and online courses due to uncertainty with the current pandemic. This means that all the courses will be given the option to attend online, where most of the courses will offer a different form of "hybrid teaching setups." However, please note that the course format can change depending on the state of the pandemic and recommendations from the Swedish public health agency during the duration of the Spring semester.

This course will critically examine advanced concepts and theories of emerging market management through lectures and practical application. You will be doing assessment tasks wherein you apply your knowledge to a real-life context. Thus, this course allows you to have the knowledge, understanding, competence, skills, and judgment required to operate in emerging market countries setting.

The grading of the course will still be based on three types of assessment tasks that the students will do with a group and individually: country report (group assignment), article analysis (group assignment), and home examination (individual).

Most contact, assignments, submissions, and results will be announced on Canvas. Our Canvas course page will open on week 01 (3 January 2022). Check the course schedule often as there may be changes in the planning from time to time.

Students are offered to attend the course on-campus and online for this semester due to uncertainty with the current pandemic. Sessions that will be conducted through distance will be done through the Zoom application. It is expected that students know how to use Zoom, have a good Internet connection, and are in a place conducive to performing learning activities (i.e., quiet location, no disturbance, use headphones).

The course is given by the Faculty of Education and Business.

Written exams

Registration for exams, including re-takes, is mandatory. You can register for exams via Ladok. You need to register at least ten days before the exam date. If you didn't register in time, you can not take your exam. No exceptions are made from this rule, we do not accept registrations when the deadline is passed.

If you are a distance study student and want to take your exam off-campus, you need to apply to do so at least three weeks prior to the exam date.
