Questions about registration and admission

Welcome to the course Health Promotion, Society and Sustainable development 7,5 cr!
The course is a multidisciplinary course on advanced level. It is an internet-based distance course with 50 % study-pace. The studies are based on individual responsibility, active search for knowledge, critical approach, and reflection.
The lectures as well as the seminars will be given via Zoom. The course also entails discussion forums. The course will be examined through written and seminar examinations as well as oral presentations.
The course starts week 13 with a course introduction via Zoom. If you are not familiar with Zoom it is a good idea to look at the information you can find here https://www.hig.se/Ext/En/University-of-Gavle/Library/Learning-Center/Web-meetings-with-Zoom.html

During the course there will be no meetings on Campus, instead the learning platform Canvas will be used for communication. That includes handing in assignments and assessments. On Canvas you will find important documents, like the course syllabus, the course literature list, as well as the study guidance which will guide you through the whole course. If you are not familiar with Canvas it is a good idea to look at the information you can find here https://hig.se/Ext/En/University-of-Gavle/Library/Learning-Center/Canvas.html

Once again, very welcome!

Ann-Kristin Eriksson and Anneli Marttila (course leaders)

The course is given by the Faculty of health and occupational studies
