About the Course
The aim of the course is to provide basic knowledge of interdisciplinary gender research and theory formation, with emphasis on humanities and social studies. The course consists of four parts: Introduction to Gender Studies, Gender and Power in a Global Perspective, Family and Work and Body and Identity. Focus is placed on analysing problems and issues in the social, political and cultural field. Another purpose of the course is to stimulate your ability to independently and critically review your surrounding world from a gender perspective, and to express your understanding of gender research issues, orally and in writing.
