Good labour market with qualifications
Currently there is a large proportion of teachers working without formal qualifications. Furthermore, in the next few years a large number of teachers will retire. The labour market for teachers with a Bachelor of Science in Education is therefore assessed to be good. With the new intermediate level teacher programme, you will obtain the necessary teacher qualifications.
Campus or distance
At the University of Gävle you can train to become an intermediate level teacher and choose either campus based or distance based education.

General entry requirements for higher education in Sweden and courses corresponding to the following Swedish Upper Secondary School courses:
- English 6
- Science studies 1b or 1a1+1a2
- Social studies 1b or 1a1+1a2
- Mathematics 2a or 2b or 2c
