This course focuses on one of the most important fields in TQM (Total Quality Management): reliability engineering. By the end of the course you will be expected to:
• Learn the advanced tools of TQM to measure and evaluate the quality of products
• Gain the experience on system reliability analysis and design.
• To be able to apply your knowledge to a practical operational problem or research project.

The course comprises basic and advanced knowledge on Simulation technique in logistics.
By the end of the course the student will be expected to:
• Show knowledge about, queuing theory and simulation techniques related to production and logistic systems.
• Apply simulation techniques in projects.
Semester 2

Logistics and supply chain management 7.5 cr
Field Industrial Economics
|
Logistics Management covers activities associated with the flow of materials, services and information, and is mostly concerned with coordination, planning, control and development. Supply Chain Management is even more comprehensive than Logistics Management and has a holistic view of flows of materials and information in industrial businesses as well as collaborative inter-firm relations. After completing this course, the student is expected to:
1. Present a broad knowledge of the various fields within Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
2. Apply methods for analysing and suggesting improvements for organisations and their businesses based on the Logistics and the Supply Chain Management concepts.

Scientific Method and Writing for Industrial Engineering and Management 7.5 cr

The purpose of the course is to prepare the students for their coming theses. The main focus of the course is on a scientific literature study and on writing a literature review paper.
