Software Engineering - Development and Maintenance of Software 15 cr
Field Computer Science

The course should provide knowledge about and proficiency in how modern software systems are developed, tested and maintained. Stand-alone, web-based and mobile platforms are covered, such as different technologies used in architecture and integration. How testing of software may be planned and implemented to ensure the quality is also covered. The course also includes systems for managing the contents of a software system and versioning and revision control.

Scientific Method and Writing for Computer Engineers 7.5 cr
Field Computer Science

The purpose of the course is to prepare the students for their coming theses. The main focus of the course is on a scientific literature study and on writing a literature review paper.

Thesis Work in Computer Engineering 15 cr
Field Computer Science

For an Engineering degree, the student must demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to work independently as a computer engineer. Therefore, the student in the context of the course requirements of 180 credits must have completed an independent project (degree project) worth at least 15 credits. It is desirable, but not essential, that the work is performed at an external client.
