Daniella Fjellström

Daniella Fjellström, PhD, is a senior lecturer at the Department of Business Studies. She was awarded her PhD from the Centre of International Business Studies (CIBUL) at the Leeds University Business School (LUBS), the University of Leeds, UK in 2012. Prior to academia, she was working in industry for international MNEs. She has post-doctoral experience from Uppsala University and has been working as a lecturer for Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University. She is currently teaching and supervising international MBA students and Bachelor level.

Education

She was awarded her PhD from the Centre of International Business Studies (CIBUL) at the Leeds University Business School (LUBS), the University of Leeds, UK in 2012. Supervisor(s): Professor Peter Buckley, Professor Jeremy Clegg and Dr Hanna Gajewska De Mattos.
PhD thesis title: “Motivation, culture and language in international knowledge transfer: Swedish multinational enterprises in China”.

Her PhD work was awarded the The Neil Hood and Stephen Young Prize for the Most Original New Work at the Academy of International Business” (UK & Ireland Chapter) Trinity College Dublin. April, 2010.

MSc in Business Administration and Economics as major and Management with Information Technology (MIT) as minor; Specialising in International Business.

Professional experience

Prior to academia, she was working in industry for international MNEs.

She has post-doctoral experience from Uppsala University and has been working as a lecturer for Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University.

Currently Assistant Professor at the University of Gävle since 2016, but have been teaching and supervising international MBA students and Bachelor level here since 2015.
