Research subject: Industrial engineering and management

I am a Research Fellow of industrial economics and management with a focus on sustainable logistics. I am also a member of CLIP – Centre for Logistics and Innovative Production. One of the main questions that I pursue is why are not logistics networks, in their buying and providing roles, capable of achieving long-term environmental sustainability goals given the rising global attention and abundance of technologies supporting them towards that end?

I use qualitative and quantitative methods to examine the institutional contexts where both logistics buyers and providers operate, alongside their buyer-supplier dynamics and interactions, with the aim to reveal the mechanisms for facilitating various green logistics practices—while keeping a close eye on traditional logistics performance metrics. I am also interested in integrating the areas of offshore outsourcing, collaboration mechanisms, e-commerce, circular economy and digitalisation into my logistics research.

CURRENT RESEARCH

  • Offshore outsourcing of logistics services
  • The purchasing process of green logistics
  • Collaboration mechanisms for green logistics
  • Trade-offs between traditional and green logistics performance
  • Exploring digitization tools for greening logistics networks
  • The Swedish green logistics market
