Centre for Musculoskeletal Research

The Centre for Musculoskeletal Research (in Swedish Centrum för belastningsskadeforskning, CBF) is a division within the University of Gävle. The Centre´s vision is that our research, development and education contribute to reduce musculoskeletal disorders in working life, to explain the causes of such disorders, and to limit their consequences.

The Centre for Musculoskeletal Research conducts advanced, well-recognized research that spans between applied basic science in laboratory environments to field studies in working life. A large part of our research is in close collaboration with other national and international research groups as well as with partners in the private sector. Postgraduate studies is also an important aspect of our activities.

Our staff of researchers is competent in physiology, medicine, rehabilitation, epidemiology, ergonomics, statistics, psychology, pedagogics, education and economics.
