Nationally coordinated telephone advice

Nationally coordinated telephone advice from a patient safety perspective.

The overall aim is to define and investigate patient safety and patient safety efforts in the context of the national medical helpline Sjukvårdsrådgivningen 1177, and to define and investigate the communication between nurse and caller.

The research illustrates how nurses giving advice over the phone perceive working with a decision support system, deviation handling and what errors are made in the helpline service, as well as communication patterns during the telephone conversation.
