Research subject: Arbetshälsovetenskap

Mahmoud Rezagholi researches in a multidisciplinary field, so called health and work environmental economics, and is primarily active in modelling for resource allocation and calculation of benefits in improving the work environment and occupational health. In his dissertation, Mahmoud Rezagholi has developed economic models for the evaluation and optimization of technical measurement methods and sampling strategies in the study of physical workload. Mahmoud Rezagholi has furthermore developed analytical tools for economic decision-making in the field of preventing work-related disorders and implementing intervention programs to improve the work environment in his postdoctoral research. All research findings can be summarized as follows: There is diseconomies of scale on improving precision in the exposure measurement studies, but there is economies of scale in improving the environmental factors at the workplace. Mahmoud Rezagholi is now interested in research in general (physical and mental) health and its influence on the overall work effectiveness in the small and medium-sized enterprises.
