By addressing concrete problems, we want to create this bridge to society to get our knowledge out for direct use.

“The society we live in today affects health in a way that requires us to address this much broacher than we have done previously,” says David Hallman, Research Leader.

Health and well-being are best achieved in an equal and inclusive society with decent working conditions.

To promote health and well-being, it is not enough to focus on the work. Today, work and life outside work are interwoven and the connections are more complex and it becomes important to create conditions that strengthen the individual’s capacity and health so that it becomes long-term sustainable for everyone.

These challenges need to be seen from a holistic perspective that requires interdisciplinary research. Various collaborating disciplines increase the possibilities of solving problems in a better way.

“By addressing concrete problems, we want to create this bridge to society to get our knowledge out for direct use.

“What drives me is that I want to contribute to creating the future’s workplaces where people feel good when they are at work. There is an incredible potential in having a job and if positive aspects can be strengthened at the same time that work is done to remove aspects that increase the risk of illness, work can contribute to giving people a better life,” says David Hallman.
