Anneli Frelin on Innovative learning

“Education and learning are keys to solving societal problems, and the foundation of all kinds of change and improvement,” says Anneli Frelin, Research Leader.

When society changes, new opportunities and challenges arise regarding education and learning and its place in various arenas, including which learning content that becomes vital.

The researchers at the University of Gävle have good conditions for creating interdisciplinary environments on innovative learning. A key strength is the concentrated campus with short distances, and experience of working in practice-generated research projects with different private and public stakeholders.

We can create space for innovation connected to learning in both public and private sectors, whether it concerns addressing safety in school, or building and usage of future schools and pre-schools.

“A driving force here is the opportunity to construct research in a new way. Connecting across disciplines to take on complex societal challenges gives us new opportunities for creating knowledge that benefits a broader public,” says Anneli Frelin.
