2017 - Associate professor in Occupatipnal Health Scinces

2006 – PhD at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. Thesis "The work ability continuum. Epidemiological studies of factors promoting sustainable work ability". About the significance of socio-demographic, physical and psycho-social factors for the work ability of an individual, with special reference to positive factors.

1999 – MSc in Ergonomics at Linköping University. Thesis  “Servis till varje pris — om serveringspersonals arbete och hälsa" [“Service at any cost — about waiters´ work and health"]. was a combined quantitative and qualitative study.

1990 – Ergonomist training for work within occupational health care, one semester fulltime academic course. Final examination paper: Bio-mechanical calculations of shoulder and low back load when waiting at a restaurant and how this is influenced by the design of the customers´ chair.

1988 – Pedagogics with focus on human relations and working life issues. One semester full-time course at Stockholm University.

1975 – BSc in Physiotherapy, Krankengymnastikschule Prof Vogler, Berlin, Germany


2008 – Assistant professor Centre for Musculoskeletal Research, University of Gävle. During 2011 also partial engaged at University of Uppsala

2006 - 2007 Post-doc fellowship at ACTION for Health research project, School of Communication, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, Vancouver, Canada

2000 - 2006 Ass. project leader and phd-student within the project" Work and sustainable health in the public sector in Sweden" (the HAKuL-project) at Karolinska Institutet with following additional engagements:
- Swedish partner in the NEXT-study (Nurses Early Exit), 2001-2005, which was funded by the European Union and included 10 countries.
- Researcher and expert in two government commissions on sick leave and plan of action for increased health in working life.

1994 - 2000 Expert in ergonomics at the Swedish Work Environment Authority
