There is a need for additional research on the cost-efficiency characteristics of commonly used exposure assessment methods. However, there is a lack of detailed cost data with which to conduct such analyses.
This study will involve cost tracking during a comprehensive trunk and shoulder posture exposure assessment effort conducted among baggage handlers during their regular work shifts at airports.
The results of the study will include comprehensive cost models for exposure assessment and determine the relative value of recruiting additional workers vs making additional measurements on the same worker under different conditions.
