MultiNEC - Innovative Multidisciplinary Approach in Elderly Care

MultiNEC är ett ungt nätverkssammarbete som påbörjades februari 2013 i Riga. MultiNEC har ett aktivt mobilitetssamarbete för studerande och lärare och då som intensivkurser inom högskolorna vilket sker mellan 6 lärosäten

Närverket kommer att genomföra ett planeringsmöte I november 2016 vid Högskolan I Gävle inför genomförandet av en intensiv kurs.

The common goal of the network partners is knowledge-building in Elderly Care education and training, combining competences of various study programs and increase multidisciplinary capacities of healthcare professionals. MultiNEC network subject area is Health Sciences, with network partners representing the following fields of study -Nursing, Adapted Physical Activities, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Sport activities for Elderly, Rehabilitation and Health Promotion. Collectively, the combination of the aforementioned disciplines strongly contribute to the development of knowledge-building in health care and broadening of student and university staff know-how in Elderly Care. The aim of the cooperation is to prepare highly qualified specialists for the labour market of the Baltic Sea region. The project partners are working towards creation and accumulation of Nordic-Baltic Elderly Care know-how.
