Forskningsämne: Energisystem

Alan Kabanshi är docent i energisystem vid Avdelningen för byggnadsteknik, energisystem och miljövetenskap. Hans forskning handlar om energi i den byggda miljön och fokuserar för närvarande på resurseffektiva ventilationsprocesser för att bygga energieffektivitet. Rudimentärt, målet har varit att utforska alternativa luftdistributions- och ventilationsstrategier som främjar termisk komfort, god luftkvalitet och passagerares hälsa vid minskad energianvändning. Kabanshi bedriver också forskning om kognitiv psykologi av klimatförändringar, energirelaterat beteende för passagerare, energieffektivitet och hållbara byggda miljöer. Han har ett starkt nationellt och internationellt nätverk och synlighet samt mycket god vetenskaplig samverkan och publicering. Han är 2020-mottagaren av Skytteanska priset för yngre forskare vid Högskolan i Gävle.
