Forskningsämne: Matematik

AKTUELL FORSKNING

Vid Högskolan i Gävle bedrivs sedan 2006 praxisnära forskning i matematikdidaktik från perspektivet förskola till högskola. Vår forskning kan beskrivas som en form av aktionsforskning, som tar sin utgångspunkt i den praktiska verksamheten.

Aktionsforskning kan ses som ett sätt att få kunskap om sin egen praktik och därigenom förutsättningar för att förändra densamma. Vår forskning har fokus på lärandesvårigheter i matematik speciellt kopplade till matematisk begreppsbildning och begreppsdefinition. Vi är också intresserade av att utveckla matematikundervisning med hjälp av olika pedagogiska verktyg och modeller.

"Learning Studies – Praxisnära forskning i matematik" vid Högskolan i Gävle är en forskningsmiljö som samordnar de flesta av de forskare, adjunkter och yrkesverksamma lärare som bedriver forskning inom vårt forskningsfält. För närvarande har vi tre aktiva forskare och en forskarstuderande i matematikdidaktik i vår grupp.
