Forskningsämne: Elektronik

Daniel Rönnow blev civilingenjör i teknisk fysik vid Uppsala universitet 1991 och tekn lic och tekn dr därstädes 1994 respektive 1996. Han var post doc 1996-1998 vid Max Planck Institut für Festkörperforschung, Stuttgart, Tyskland. Han var forskare vid Acreo, Kista 1998-2000 och 200-2004 var han teknisk konsult forskningschef vid Racomna AB, Uppsala. Han var lektor i elektronik vid Högskolan i Gävle 2004-2006 och 2006-2011 var han verksam vid Westergeco AB, Oslo. Sedan 2011 är han professor i elektronik vid Högskolan i Gävle.

Rönnow har varit verksam inom flera forskningsområden, såsom optiska instrument, tunnfilmsoptik, elastisk ljusspridning, halvledarfysik, mätteknik inom radio och mikrovågsteknik, linjärisering av ickelinjära system, och sesismisak sensorer.

AKTUELL FORSKNING

Han nuvarande forskning handlar om metoder förkarakterisering av radio- och mikrovågskomponenter; exempel är fasbrus och ickelinjära dynamiska egenskaper, särskilt MIMO-komponenter och system. Han sysslar också med linjärisering av mikrovågskomponenter med tillämpningar inom tele- och satellitkommunkation. Han sysslar också med metamateral vid mikrovågsfrekvenser.
