Maryam Bourbour disputerade 2020 med avhandlingen digital technologies in preschool education; The interplay between interactive whiteboards and teacher’s teaching practices. Forskningsintresset riktar sig mot förskollärares användning av digitala verktyg i undervisning. Med fokus på förskollärare och deras undervisning syftar Maryams forskning till att utforska på vilket sätt en digital teknologi, den interaktiva whiteboarden (IWB), samspelar med förskollärarnas undervisning.
