Michelle Rydback studied her Bachelor degree in International Relation (formerly known as Foreign Service) major in International Trade at the Lyceum of the Philippines University in 1998. After moving to Sweden she took another Bachelor degree in Business Administration followed by MBA in Business Administration and completed in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Both degrees were completed at the University of Gävle, where is now employed as a Ph.D. candidate in Business Studies. Michelle is admitted to the doctoral program at the Södertörn University located in Stockholm.

Current research

As of today, she is studying on how healthcare providers engage in medical tourism markets medical services in the international arena. She focuses on providers located in emerging market. Her primary findings show that hospitals and clinics in emerging market are focusing on building networks, trust and adapting to the requirements of the international patients. The empirical results were gathered in the Philippines.
