Welcome to the course ‘Community work in marginalized neighborhoods’! In the learning platform Blackboard (Bb), under "Information" you find syllabus with literature and a study guide with preliminary schedule. The schedule might be slightly revised (see upcoming info on Bb). The course will be given as a distance course. Some activities will take place in Gävle, with possibility to take part directly in Gävle or by using distance IT-technology (see the schedule on last page in the study guide). Almost all lectures are recorded. Since there will be a combination of International and Swedish students the course language will be a combination of English and Swedish. Course literature is in English. The lecturers will speak English during lectures and webinars, but there will be parallel webinars in Swedish. Students who prefer so might speak Swedish during the webinars. Information and instructions regarding the webinars will be put on Blackboard (Bb). Students can choose to do the written examinations in English or Swedish. You need to regularly check Bb for announcements. Make sure that you always have the latest updated version of the study guide (see the date on front page).
Course introduction will be on Tuesday 4 September 09.30-12.30 in 51222. It will also be recorded and put on Bb, but it´s of course nice if as many as possible can attend in class.
