Hig.se wins the Sitevision Awards

The University of Gävle has been named the winner of the Sitevision Awards in the category "Best Marketing Website."

Sitevision Awards

The award is presented annually to the organization that has best succeeded in creating a user-friendly and appealing website using the Sitevision platform. The jury particularly highlighted the site's clear structure, authentic imagery and functional solutions that make it easier for visitors to navigate and find relevant information.

The project leaders behind the initiative, Stina Lilja and Veronica Liljeroth, are delighted with the recognition.

"So many people have contributed to the work on the new hig.se, not least our students and colleagues from across the university. That's why it feels especially gratifying that our website is receiving this award," says Stina Lilja, Project Manager and Communication Strategist.

"A common thread in the work on the new hig.se has been the needs of our target audiences, while also taking into account what we, as a university, strategically must and want to communicate."

Veronica Liljeroth, Webmaster and Technical Project Manager, explains that the goal has been to make the website more navigable and welcoming.

"We have clearly succeeded in that! We've made several changes; among other things, we've streamlined the number of pages to make it easier for visitors to find what they're looking for while ensuring that the site feels welcoming," says Veronica Liljeroth.

"Winning this award is a testament to the extensive work and dedication put into creating a modern and accessible website that is now receiving national recognition."

Jury's motivation

With an impressive ability to combine simplicity with comprehensive content, this website has successfully achieved its goal. By consistently putting the visitor's needs at the center, the winner of the Best Marketing Website category has created a place that truly welcomes everyone.
