Give a gift or your time - and encourage others to do the same!
On Tuesday, December 3, the University of Gävle will celebrate Giving Tuesday – a global movement for generosity. A clothing swap day will be organised on campus, so take the opportunity to update your wardrobe!
Giving Tuesday is celebrated globally by putting generosity at the center and giving space to all positive efforts made in society.
– It is a day to encourage people to do good. Today, more than 80 of the world's countries and millions of people are involved. 'Everyone can do something' is the message that connects the whole world, says Agneta Morelli, leader of Work Package 8 (WP8) at the European University EU GREEN.
The day is part of WP8's 'Campus & Community' challenges.
– Food and other donations are regularly collected to support our campus community, says Agneta Morelli.
At the University of Gävle, the day will include a yoga break, information from the Blood Center about becoming a blood donor, information from the Donation Register about becoming an organ donor and the opportunity to exchange your clothes for someone else's clothes.
Hand in clothes in advance!
Drop off your old clothes at the Student Center reception between 25 November and 2 December. For each garment you return, you will receive a ticket that you can exchange for a new garment.
Liven up your wardrobe for the winter, make someone happy and give your garment a new life!
