Creative ideas and sustainable activities at Sustainable Campus Day
Today, students, staff and partners gathered at the University of Gävle for Sustainable Campus Day - a day filled with creativity and activities aimed at making the campus more sustainable, healthy and inclusive.

The day is an initiative within the European University EU GREEN and work package eight (WP8), which the University of Gävle leads.
Outside Valhall, visitors could look around among various exhibitors at the day's fair. For example, a Swop Shop was organized where clothes, course literature, plants and books could be exchanged or given away. Design students showed their exhibition of ideas for a sustainable and healthy campus. Among other things, there was an 'interactive wall' where participants could leave their thoughts on how to improve the campus.

– Sustainable Campus Day is a day when we come together to inspire, share ideas and develop our campus in a more sustainable and healthy direction. By highlighting good examples from students, researchers and external actors, we showcase opportunities and inspire new collaborations and initiatives, says Annika Viding, lecturer in industrial design and responsible for today's fair.

Activities focusing on health and sustainability were organized at various locations, such as drop-in yoga, a fashion show with second-hand clothes and a nature-based mindfulness workshop focusing on forest bathing.

During the day, several exhibitors from the community and student life participated: among others Actic Sverige AB, Cykla i Gävle, Kvinnojouren Blåklockan, Slow Food Gästrikland, Red Cross and Studenthälsan.
