New look for several library databases

At the beginning of 2025, the databases Business Source, Cinahl, ERIC, PsycInfo and others will have a new look and some features will change.

In mid-January or early February 2025, databases hosted on the Ebscohost platform will receive a new interface, which means that their appearance and some functions will change. The content of the databases will remain the same as before. The new interface has a cleaner look and is accessible for people with disabilities. If you have used the library's Discovery search portal, you will recognise it as the two interfaces are similar.

Databases affected by the change include Business Source Premier, Cinahl, ERIC, GreenFILE, PsycInfo, Ebsco's e-books and some databases with little usage.

The date for the transition to the new interface is not yet confirmed. We will announce it as soon as we know. The transition will take place at the start of the spring semester 2025 at the earliest.

Do you have saved searches in an Ebscohost database?

According to the information we have received from Ebsco, searches that you have saved in an Ebscohost database in your MyEbsco account will also be available in the new interface. As a precaution, we recommend that you also save important searches using another method, for example, by taking a screen shot, so that you can recreate them if necessary.
