Sunil holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore. He has held postdoctoral positions both in Belgium at KU Leuven and in Norway at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Most recently, Sunil was employed at the Vellore Institute of Technology in India as an Associate Professor. His research is mainly in predictive maintenance. However, Sunil's areas of interest also include machine learning, signal and image processing, remote sensing, biomedical signal and image processing.
