Pressure Ulcer Prevention
Pressure Ulcer Prevention (PUP) is a collaborative project between four universities and four county councils - Dalarna, Gävle, Karlstad and Uppsala. A total of 10 researchers are participating.
Subproject 1: Health protection for pressure ulcer prevention - from ambulance to discharge. A randomized controlled trial in four county councils. The aim was to study the incidence of pressure ulcers in patients over 70 years of age who are acutely admitted to hospital with and without health protection and health economic effects. The study has been completed and two studies published.
Subproject 2: Knowledge and attitudes towards pressure ulcers, prevention and treatment. Two publications.
