Professor David Hallman leads the strategic research area Health-Promoting Work and conducts research on work environment and health in different sectors. One of the core questions is how flexibility at work affects the organization, the group and the individual. David Hallman also investigates how physical activity and sedentary behavior (at work and leisure) influence health and how organizational interventions can provide a better balance between work demands, stress and recovery. The research is conducted in collaboration with organizations in both the private and public sectors.
