Luiz Brusaca is a physiotherapist with a PhD in Physical Therapy. His research focuses on understanding how physical behaviors at work affect health and work-related outcomes. During his PhD, he studied office workers with obesity, combining technical measurements of physical behaviors with intervention research. He is particularly interested in the interplay between physical and psychosocial factors in the workplace and how these contribute to musculoskeletal disorders and sickness absence. In addition, he has interest in clinimetrics, the science of developing and validating instruments for measuring health-related constructs, and in applying these methods to develop, refine, or evaluate existing tools to improve their quality.
