A current research interest concerns how psychological factors such as nostalgia (personal and organizational) and mental time perspectives (past and future perspectives) relate to individuals’ willingness to embrace change (e.g., artificial intelligence) in the workplace, as well as how this affects aspects such as motivation and health.
Niklas is also part of the project “Inte utan oro” (Not Without Concern), which focuses on the support and interventions provided by social child welfare services. As part of the project, I have examined reports of concern at the group level regarding children who witnessed violence and were subjected to physical violence in the municipality of Gävle from 2018 to 2022. The project has been awarded funding from the Allmänna Barnhuset Foundation in 2023 (planning grant) and 2025. The project team includes Anneli Marttila (Social Work, project manager in 2025), Tove Bylund Grenklo (Caring Sciences), and Sven Trygged (project manager in 2023, Social Work).
