My research mainly concerns air quality, ventilation, indoor climate and building energy. The studies usually involve the processes of dispersion of gaseous and particulate contaminants, and finding effecient methods to improve indoor air quality. The focus is often on human health, comfort and performance, but a major interest is also in building energy and its connection with thermal comfort and building preservation. The research is performed both in laboratory and in the field, and, when applicable, involveshuman subjects.
I mainly teach measurement methods, energy systems, indoor climate and scientific writing. Occasionally, I also teach thermodynamics, heat transfer, building energy systems and building physics.
