Asif M. Huq is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Gävle. He holds a PhD in Microdata Analysis from Dalarna University and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), certified by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), USA. His doctoral thesis, Corporate Disclosures Regulations: Social Solution or a Problem?, examined corporate disclosure regulation and its implications for firm behaviour and economic outcomes. Before entering academia, he worked as a Financial Analyst at the U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Bangladesh.
